GHQ 1/2400 German Graf Zeppelin, Bismarck, Scharnhorst, and Prinz Eugen

Hi All...  I wanted to share some 1/2400 ships that I recently finished.

Also, I'm working on some new naval terrain for myself.  I apologize for the poor color in the photos, but hopefully it gives you a little sneak peak.  It's based on hex tiles.

Let me know what you think :)

  1. Your works are simply amazing. I am more of a modern warfare fan but i still really like your painting and assembling of GHQ WWII stuff!

  2. You certainly have a gift! I love the way you make the small scale figures pop. Especially given most of think of 6mm as a texture on the table rather than a scale ;)

  4. This is THE best paint job I've seen on GHQ models! Very very talented painting.
Two questions: Is it a sea-mat you're using under the models for the pictures, and the hexagon game board, how did you make the waves?
    Cheers

    1. Thanks for the feedback!

The sea-mat is just a white piece of printer paper with a photograph of an ocean surface printed on it :)

The hexes are laser-cut MDF hexes. I applied a thin layer of "Golden Fine Pumice Gel" and then daubed it with my finger tip. Lastly, I applied a layer of blue paint followed by gloss varnish.

      Hope that helps,
      Tanner
