GHQ 1/285th Photo Dump

Hi All,

I was just browsing through my backup hard drive and found several photos that I don't think I've shared on my blog before.  It's possible I posted these back in the day on my old "IntoBattle" site but figured it didn't hurt to share again.

These are all 1/285th miniatures by GHQ.

Enjoy!

GHQ 1/2400 Naval - Akagi, Kaga, Soryu, Hiryu, Skokaku, Zuikaku

It seems that I've been in painting mood lately and I've finished quite a few things...  not least of which is these Imperial Japanese Aircraft Carriers.  I created some very detailed decals to make these carriers possible, and I'm very pleased with how they've turned out.

Now, bear with me while I flood you with photos...

How would history have been different if all 6 of these guys had been present at Midway?

Akagi - Nagumo's flagship

Kaga

Soryu

Hiryu

Shokaku

Zuikaku

Very clean and sharp lines on the deck.  I went with a clean look, but the decks can easily be weathered after the decals are applied.

Kaga and Akagi - big and tall

Hiryu and Soryu - definitely have a smaller and lower profile

Shokaku and Zuikaku - These guys would see plenty of action even though they missed out at Midway.

Here is a good photo for scale

And to further dwarf these ships, look how small they are in comparison to a bottle of Vallejo paint!  This is the Hiryu with an Atlanta class CL alongside for comparison.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy these photos.  Let me know what you think.  Would you buy these decals if I set up shop and made them available?

Painting for the GHQ Catalog - A few goodies

Hi All, I recently finished some painting for the GHQ Catalog and wanted to share a few photos that I took.  I'm always excited for the new releases that GHQ puts out each year, the new release list is only a month or two away :)

sIG33B Self Propelled gun...  introduced at Stalingrad.  I was asking feverishly for this model for the past few years so I was happy to get it this year :)

Another close up...

US T-92 240mm SPG

The other side...

French Jaureguiberry...  Pre-Dreadnought...  what a funky little ship!

Coin and Pin for scale...

Finnish Infantry and Support - I haven't painted any Infantry in a few years; I just don't really enjoy painting it for some reason.  Let me know what you think of these because I have a lot of Soviet and German Infantry to paint and I would like to know what people think of this style (minus the snow).

Thanks for looking!
